I got asked a question by a friend of mine.

It’s one I’ve gotten before.

“Why don’t you put together a course on SEO or

PPC to teach novices what you do?”

My answer?

There are already enough trainers out there in my humble

opinion. I see way too many, and I mean WAY TOO MANY

people out there calling themselves network marketing

“trainers” or internet marketing “trainers”.

I was on Twitter today. The “Similar to you” space on the

right side bar had some profile snippets.

One was for a guy who said he was an attraction marketing

“trainer”. I clicked through to his blog. More than half of

the home page above the fold is occupied by a graphic of

himself and his self-proclamation that he’s a network marketing

“trainer” and an internet marketing “trainer.”

In this day and age, in this economy, I’d rather hear

from a DOER. I’d rather hear from someone who

fights a battle in the trenches every day and is willing

to report back with results from the day’s combat.

You ever see the HBO series, “Band Of Brothers”?

A lieutenant named Sobel “trained” Easy Company based

on a lot of theory. He was a “trainer” alright.

But he folded when it came time to face the enemy.

A man named Winters (one of the greatest American heroes of all time IMHO)

was not a “trainer”.

He didn’t work strictly from theory.

He led his men into battle with a “come follow me” attitude.

I’m going to keep doing the same in the digital marketing arena.

I’m just going to keep doing.

Home based business leads can be captured online regardless of your knowledge level by using these methods.

Choose 2 or 3 forums in your market and post often. Begin in a forum by commenting on the threads started by others and try and be one of the first people to comment on a new thread. Once you’ve added value through commenting habitually for one week or two then you must start creating your own conversations.

Cultivate Home Based Business Leads

Like a Major Corporation

Even the largest firms on the planet utilize social media websites to bolster the customer relations they already have, rather than making new purchasers. Fundamentally, this means that businesses procure fans who may already be shoppers or sign ups and they maintain their relationship through social media. With that under consideration, establish meaningful relationships with leads you already have to help them become new recruits. Don’t infect the Twitter and Facebook feeds with spam posts but instead steadily contribute quality content.

Videos Magnetically Attract Home Based Business Leads

Videos will give you the most leverage by giving help with SEO and by going viral, not by just sharing them with one or two YouTube buddies. Produce as many beneficial “how to” videos as practicable which have relevancy to your niche. These will position you as a pacesetter in the eyes of your YouTube friends and other viewers and will more effortlessly turn them into home based business leads for you when the time is right.

Blog commenting is just adding commentary to the posts of other blogs in your market. If you don’t typically leave comments on blog content, get in the routine of doing it. Blog comments make a trail back to your website when you fill in the “name”, “email address”, and “website” fields in the comment area. Do not ever just drop in and post a comment like “hey, nice post”, that will be a sign that you didn’t read the post and it’ll also make you seem foolish.

Eventually Gather Home Based Business Leads With

Your Own Blog

Even if you’ve got no html or design experience, you can simply start up your own blog. Were you aware that you could kick off your own blog without knowing how to program and without knowing any html? You can use push-button blog software systems to make blog sites that may make you look like a webmaster. Start tonight over at WordPress and put up your first page right away. After you get comfortable, get an inexpensive hosting account and have the customer service folks at the hosting company walk you through setting up your own “self-hosted WordPress blog” and find some free tutorials on a video site about the way to create and edit posts testing WordPress.

Regardless of what your talent level is, begin tonight employing the 5 strategies above to create as many home based business leads as you need.
